New!! Second Wind Gallop

Premiered by Matsubushi H.S. Band under the direction of Masato at the 2011 Academic Society of Wind Music (JAS-Wind) 3rd Annual Compostion Competition, this march won the composition prize. This is a very bright, quick circus march. The title concept depicts the mischievous inner child all adults possess, their "second childhood".

"It is very different in some ways: very sad at the beginning, then a little 'daylight' in the middle
before the 'dark clouds' come back at the end." (James Barnes)

Wataru Hokoyama at Bravo Music

The larger-than-life sound of award-winning Hollywood film composer Wataru Hokoyama is now available from Bravo Music. Multiple recognitions by Cannes, Sundance, the Emmys, and the Hollywood Music Awards' Best Video Game Score (2008) for his remarkable Afrika soundtrack reflect a contemporary sound both programmatic and transparent. Hokoyama's original works for band are equally expansive and full of provocative imagery (Afrika - Concert Suite for Band). His Animas Luminus, dedicated to victims of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, was the first Midwest Clinic commission by a Japanese composer. Jamestown was commissioned by the US Air Force Band to commemorate founding of the colony, and the University of Nevada Las Vegas commissioned and premiered Nebula.
